Tennessee State University was founded in 1912 and is located in downtown Nashville.  It has nearly 8,800 students.   TSU is home to the TSU Tigers men and women's basketball, football, golf, tennis track & cross country, softball and volleyball teams.  The TSU Performing Arts Center is the home for campus theater and music performing arts as well as a venue for visiting performers.
