Bongo Java
Bongo is Nashville's oldest coffeehouse and is heralded as a meeting spot for students, locals, and musicians. Located on Belmont Boulevard, Bongo Java found fame in 1996 for the Nun Bun, a cinnamon bun that resembled Mother Teresa. There is also a theater upstairs open after hours for music and theater.

This record shop was a candy shop in a previous life. Instead of serving up Skittles and chocolate, now the building houses Boulevard Record Shop and provides ear candy. When you step foot into BRS, you’ll find thousands of records, listening stations to check out some music, turntables, and parts/supplies. They even host shows every weekend for a mere $5.
